Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Pour all ingredients into a 16 oz spray bottle. (Using a small metal funnel helps for accuracy!)

  2. Shake well before each use.

  3. Spray onto countertops, sinks, and other hard surfaces. Wipe clean with a microfiber cloth or sponge.

Keeping your home clean doesn’t have to mean using harsh chemicals. Many store-bought cleaners contain synthetic fragrances and toxic ingredients that can be harmful to your health and the environment. I’ve been in the process of switching all of our cleaners to non-toxic and all-natural and this all-purpose is my go-to. You can make your own all-natural, non-toxic multipurpose cleaner with just a few simple ingredients and it takes less than 5 minutes of your day.

Why Make Your Own Cleaner?

There are plenty of reasons to switch to a homemade multipurpose cleaner:

Non-Toxic & Safe – No harmful chemicals, just simple, natural ingredients.
Eco-Friendly – Reduce plastic waste by reusing your spray bottle.
Cost-Effective – Save money by making your own instead of buying expensive green cleaners.
Customizable – Experiment with essential oils that contain natural cleaning properties and fresh scents.

Why Use Lemon and Tea Tree Essential Oils?

🍋 Lemon Essential Oil – Naturally degreases surfaces, cuts through grime, and leaves a fresh, uplifting scent. (I put a couple of drops into my garbage disposal and it gives it an instant boost!)
🌿 Tea Tree Essential Oil – Has antibacterial and antifungal properties, making it great for disinfecting high-touch areas.

You can also swap these out for lavender (soothing and antibacterial) or peppermint (refreshing and insect-repelling which is very helpful during summertime).

Storage & Shelf Life

Since this recipe contains water and no preservatives, it’s best to use within a few weeks but with the amount you find you end up using this you might even go through it quicker! Shake to activate before each use to remix the ingredients. Store in a cool, dark place for optimal freshness.

Final Thoughts

Switching to a homemade cleaner is one of the easiest ways to reduce toxins in your home while keeping everything fresh and spotless. Plus, it smells amazing and is so easy to do and the feeling of doing it yourself and getting healthy while doing it is so rewarding!
